Job Summary:

As a Direct Support Professional/Overnight Advocate at The Kennedy Collective, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to and advocating for individuals residing in our residential homes. Your primary responsibility will be to promote choice, provide appropriate support, and coordinate activities to foster individual well-being, growth, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promote choice, provide appropriate support, and coordinate activities to foster individual well-being, growth, and development.
* Ensure that all services, programs, and guidelines outlined in an individual's ISP are implemented as assigned.
* Ensure that all Kennedy Collective and DDS regulations and policies are adhered to.
* Responsible for the supervision and coordination of daily living skills including but not limited to personal care, recreation, meal prep, and household chores.
* Ensure all trainings are current.
* Provide professional and timely communication with co-workers, supervisor, families and guardians and other team members.
* Record and maintain individuals' records in Therap as assigned (data entry, case notes, updated contacts, and information).
* Administer medications in accordance with DDS regulations. Ensure all medications are available and orders followed.
* Advocate for the individuals whenever necessary as well teach individuals to advocate for themselves.
* Ensure the protection of all individuals' rights and safety by following HIPAA regulations, ensuring privacy, and reporting any type of abuse or neglect.
* Intervene in emergencies and behavioral situations as needed.
* Maintain a comfortable home or program space, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
* Ensure all doctors' orders and guidelines are followed to assure the individuals' health and wellbeing.
* You are required to be in possession of a car on site during your entire shift to transport yourself and/or individuals served to community sites in all weather conditions and throughout all neighborhoods.
* Accompany individuals on community outings, appointments and family visits as assigned.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license
* Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and the internet
