Warehouse Operations Manager

About You
You will coordinate and oversee all warehousing functions, including direct supervision of employees, order fulfillment, inventory management, employee safety, and inbound and outbound shipments. You will set performance goals, monitor employee productivity, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehousing functions, supervise and direct warehouse employees, and ensure the safety of employees and safe operations of warehouse equipment.
- Assign work to utilize available skills, knowledge, and experience, labor hours, machines, and tools to obtain the most favorable costs, accuracy, and completeness.
- Provide regular training to staff and oversee large jobs or critical processes to ensure that branch policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain warehouse operations equipment and coordinate repairs to ensure minimal downtime to operations.
- Review warehouse performance metrics with Warehouse Manager and identify areas of opportunity.
- Maintain conformance with STIHL employee and safety rules and regulations, may issue counseling notices, and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Participate in and coordinate internal programs, such as communications, vacation requests, employee performance reviews, etc.
- Assist in the hiring and training of new employees, maintain appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work levels, and schedules, and training programs.
- Coordinate and schedule weekly, quarterly, and annual inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Specifications
- Associate's Degree in a related discipline or professional experience equivalent.
- 2 years of related supervisory experience in a distribution center environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and radio frequency technology.
- Experience in order management and inventory management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
