Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and supervision of children in the assigned classroom, adhering to NAEYC guidelines.
  • Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
  • Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
  • Maintain a warm and safe environment that fosters children's growth and exploration.
  • Partner with families to create plans for their child's care and education.
  • Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child's progress.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Head Teacher certification, or 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses, or Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized.
  • Ability to work within regular operating hours.
  • Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
