Position Overview

The Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Regional Program Manager to oversee its initiatives from a new office location. This role involves managing and executing WBDC's offerings across designated counties, focusing on supporting women entrepreneurs and clients at various stages of their business journeys, from inception to established enterprises.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive innovator with a blend of creative and analytical capabilities, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively. This individual will excel in a fast-paced environment, embracing change and fostering a collaborative culture within the organization. Strong communication skills and proven project management expertise are essential for initiating, refining, and executing multiple projects successfully.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this full-time position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team within a well-established nonprofit that champions business development for women.

Key Responsibilities

The Regional Program Manager will be tasked with the delivery, management, and implementation of WBDC's programs and services, ensuring outreach, facilitation, and achievement of program objectives.

  • Oversee the regional training schedule and associated programs
  • Act as a facilitator, providing guidance and instruction in entrepreneurial and small business development
  • Collaborate with fellow Program Managers to create a seamless continuum of services for entrepreneurs at every business stage
  • Ensure program quality and consistency, including curriculum development and instructor engagement
  • Conduct outreach and build relationships with community partners, focusing on increasing participation among women of color
  • Support the execution of WBDC's grant programs, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and tracking program outcomes
  • Establish and engage with the Regional Advisory Council
  • Manage team members effectively
  • Promote WBDC's commitment to diversity and inclusion in all programs and activities
  • Recruit and manage volunteer instructors and counselors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of professional experience with a track record in program and project management, community engagement, and customer service
  • An MBA or a relevant undergraduate degree in fields such as accounting, finance, management, economics, business administration, or entrepreneurship is preferred
  • Experience within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including small business, banking, or economic development
  • Proven skills in client outreach and engagement with a sales and customer-service orientation
  • Experience working with diverse or underserved communities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate trusted relationships
  • Experience in community outreach initiatives
  • Proven experience in team management
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong presentation skills for both in-person and virtual settings
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as necessary
  • Must possess reliable transportation for travel between locations
