Job Summary

The Clinical Therapist will provide direct services to clients in the office, school, or other identified settings to meet the unique needs of families served. This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage or Family Therapy, or other licensed-eligible counseling degree. The ideal candidate will have two years of clinical experience working with children or families, preferably in a culturally diverse urban population.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct Services
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement
  • Determine DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with Supervisor and Medical Director or designated Psychiatrist, as needed
  • Develop treatment plans and contracts for services
  • Implement treatment plans, modifying it as appropriate during the course of treatment
  • Discharge planning, which may include linkages to community support services
  • Provides case management services
  • Completes clinical documentation required by agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources
  • Maintains productivity targets determined by service
Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Participates and presents in Peer Consultation and Quality Assurance Reviews
  • Fosters collaboration with other clinical and administrative staff to respond to client and programmatic needs
  • Partners with other program or clinical staff to identify and develop approaches to address clients' unmet needs or service gaps
Professional Growth and Development
  • Acquires and maintains the needed skills in evidenced-based models that the agency/program ascribes to
  • Partners with Supervisor to identify and develop plans for professional growth
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contributes to program functioning by assuming responsibility for special tasks or leadership in special projects as appropriate
  • Contributes to agency organizational life by participating in agency-wide task forces, committees, or problem-solving teams as appropriate
  • Contributes to agency visibility and development of community linkages by representing the Village in community groups or committees
