Procurement Specialist

USI seeks a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support PEO SOFSA's contracting activities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Standard Procurement System (SPS) Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2) and a strong understanding of USSOCOM procurement policies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to organizations requiring contracting services as directed by the government.
- Performing market research/analysis to determine the availability of services or materials to meet the requirement.
- Analyzing complex contracting issues and determining recommended courses of action.
- Providing business advice and assistance to technical personnel in developing the statement of work or data requirements.
- Supporting both classified and unclassified efforts.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University and 5 years of experience with SPS Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2).
Adept knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and SOFAR is also required, as well as Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Action Acquisition Level II Contracting certification or Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C).
Active 'SECRET' Security Clearance is necessary for this position.
This is a remote position with initial travel for onboarding required.
