In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and qualification of mission-specific systems for the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions Line of Business, which encompasses various platforms.

Your primary focus will be on the C-130J Special Operations platforms.

It is essential to work efficiently within a configuration-managed system development environment throughout all phases of the system/software development life cycle.

Strict adherence to company and program-specific development processes is mandatory. You should possess experience in analyzing intricate technical challenges, presenting findings and recommendations, and executing solutions.

To qualify, you must be able to obtain a secret clearance, with a company-sponsored interim secret required to commence. This position is situated at a facility that necessitates special access.

This position is based in a dynamic environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in General Systems Engineering, including Avionics or Mission Systems Design, Development, Integration, or Testing.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. This role requires special access and at least an interim Secret clearance to begin.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with LINK 16, JREAP, or Airborne Mission Networks
  • Knowledge of Flight Management System interfaces for flight plans and waypoints
  • Experience in developing analysis tools using Python, MATLAB, Excel, etc.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with C130, C5, P3, or SOCOM platforms
  • Coding proficiency is advantageous (Java, C++, and shell scripts)
  • Knowledge of use case, system requirements, performance specification development, and UML modeling
  • Proficiency in Windows Office applications
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux environments
Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Schedule Options: Lockheed Martin offers various flexible work schedules, including standard 40-hour weeks and condensed schedules, providing employees with additional time away from the office, alongside Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Role: 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off each week.
