In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and qualification of mission-specific systems within the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions sector, which encompasses various aircraft platforms.

Your primary focus will be on the C-130J Special Operations platforms.

It is essential to work effectively within a configuration-managed system development environment throughout all stages of the system/software development life cycle.

Compliance with stringent company and program-specific development protocols is mandatory. You should possess the ability to analyze intricate technical challenges, present findings and recommendations, and implement effective solutions.

This position is based in a location that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in General Systems Engineering, including Avionics or Mission Systems Design, Development, Integration, or Testing.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. This role requires special access and at least an interim Secret clearance to begin.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with LINK 16, JREAP, or Airborne Mission Networks
  • Experience with Flight Management System interfaces for flight plans and waypoints
  • Proficiency in analysis tool development using Python, MATLAB, Excel, etc.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with C130, C5, P3, or SOCOM platforms
  • Coding skills in languages such as Java, C++, and shell scripts are advantageous
  • Knowledge of use case development, system requirements, performance specifications, and UML modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with both Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered.

Work Schedule Options: Lockheed Martin supports various alternative work schedules to enhance employee flexibility. Options include standard 40-hour work weeks or condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.

Schedule for this Role: 4x10 hour days with 3 days off each week.
