Position Overview: Our Genetics team is in search of a Customer Care Associate - Newborn Screening and Genomics Programs. This role involves effectively communicating with clients and assisting in the resolution of inquiries related to our Newborn Screening and Genomics Programs. The position offers flexibility to work remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid model. We provide competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Level 1 telephone support to external clients as needed.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service to maintain client satisfaction; proactively identify potential issues and communicate them to relevant personnel for swift resolution.
  • Review laboratory reports and communicate non-critical findings to submitters and/or designated healthcare professionals, adhering to contractual agreements and time-sensitive requirements.
  • Document all communications and actions taken regarding client interactions thoroughly.
  • Manage, maintain, and update computer databases and statistical spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Client Services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three or more years of customer service experience
  • Experience in a healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Work Environment: Employees may be required to work shifts outside of standard hours based on laboratory needs, including weekend rotations. Travel is not a requirement for this position.

While performing the duties of this role, employees are regularly required to sit, use a keyboard, and occasionally stand or move within the laboratory. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is necessary.
