Job Title: Purchasing Operations Coordinator with Proficiency in Asian Languages

Location: Flower Mound, Texas, United States

Employment Type: Full-time and Permanent

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000/year

Position Overview:

  • Oversees the procurement of food products, seafood, and non-food supplies, encompassing sourcing, price negotiations, logistics, and product innovation.
  • Conducts analysis and forecasts of product sales and market needs, generating purchase orders based on sales data, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Calculates product pricing and costs to ascertain profit margins.
  • Ensures product excellence through sampling and customer feedback, collaborating with suppliers for quality assurance.
  • Regularly audits inventory for inconsistencies, large outbound orders, slow-moving items, and expired products, coordinating with the warehouse for resolutions.
  • Formulates and implements purchasing strategies aligned with the organization’s business goals.
  • Assesses and guarantees that the quality of received goods meets purchase order specifications.
  • Provides administrative and clerical assistance to ensure compliance with safety standards set by regulatory bodies.
  • Participates in company events and functions outside of standard working hours.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Accountable to upper management as required.

Qualifications:


• Proficient in Business-level English.


• Proficient in Business-level Mandarin.


• Maintains a constructive attitude.


• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.


• Adaptable to frequent changes in tasks and workload.


• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.


• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:


• Exhibits strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.


• Possesses fundamental mathematical skills for inventory management and pricing calculations.


• Demonstrates excellent customer service and problem-solving capabilities.


• Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.


• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly AS400, is highly desirable.


• Knowledge of Japanese food products and beverages is preferred.

Physical Requirements:


• Ability to sit and work in an office environment for extended periods.


• Capable of using a computer and typing for prolonged durations.


• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions:

• Noise Level: Ranges from normal to loud in the office environment.
