Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee the procurement of food products, seafood, and non-food items, which includes sourcing, negotiating prices, managing transportation logistics, and product innovation.


• Analyze and predict product sales trends and market demands, generating purchase orders based on sales forecasts, demand planning, and inventory assessments.


• Calculate product costs and pricing strategies to ensure profitable margins.


• Maintain product quality through sampling and customer feedback, collaborating with suppliers to uphold quality assurance standards.


• Regularly audit inventory for discrepancies, manage large outbound orders, identify slow-moving items, and address expired products in conjunction with warehouse operations.


• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's business goals.


• Ensure that the quality of received goods meets the specifications outlined in purchase orders.


• Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure compliance with FDA and USDA safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, SSOP, Vendor program, Food Defense, Recall Program, etc.).


• Participate in company events and functions outside of standard working hours.


• Perform additional duties as assigned by upper management.

Physical and Other Requirements:


• Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.


• Proficient in computer use and typing for long durations.


• Capable of reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.


• Must possess business-level proficiency in English.


• Proficiency in Japanese, Chinese, or Korean at a business level is required – reading, writing, speaking, and listening.


• Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Adaptable to frequent changes in tasks and workload.


• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.


• A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement is preferred.


• At least 2 years of tenure within a single organization is preferred.
