Position Summary:

The Lead Media Strategist will oversee the daily management of search and e-commerce media initiatives for designated brands. This role involves monitoring and enhancing search/e-commerce campaign development, execution, and innovation. The Lead Strategist is expected to cultivate a deep understanding of client businesses and leverage their media expertise to fulfill client objectives effectively. Collaboration with management is essential for the formulation and communication of all search/e-commerce strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop paid search/e-commerce strategies across various search engines and relevant platforms.
  • Track and optimize performance to align with business goals.
  • Conduct and analyze keyword research to establish new campaigns.
  • Gather essential data for strategic planning.
  • Organize keywords into ad groups and create relevant ad copy and extensions.
  • Present strategic recommendations and incorporate client feedback into keyword and copy proposals.
  • Upon campaign approval, manage the creation of flowcharts and input buys into the necessary systems.
  • Generate required documentation for purchase authorization and ensure vendor signatures are obtained.
  • Oversee the trafficking of approved plans into search engines.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all campaign elements prior to launch.
  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and bid adjustments.
  • Advocate for campaign modifications based on performance trends.
  • Continuously monitor and manage performance metrics and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies and testing plans.
  • Analyze data to produce campaign reports and derive strategic insights with actionable recommendations.
  • Create clear and cohesive quantitative analyses with effective data visualization.
  • Participate actively in client status meetings and reporting calls, including presenting findings.
  • Maintain meticulous records of the monthly billing cycle, including invoice tracking and buy actualization.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with client strategy and billing teams.
  • Master relevant tools for reporting, analytics, and competitive analysis.
  • Exhibit proficiency in core metric calculations and relationships.
  • Serve as a resource for Analysts, providing training and support for ad hoc inquiries.
  • Establish strong working relationships with client teams and partner agencies to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Develop professional rapport with sales representatives and media vendors.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all assignments.
  • Complete training programs and obtain necessary certifications.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in paid media with a focus on e-commerce.
  • Experience in planning and buying across multiple platforms, including Google, Bing, and others.
  • Familiarity with Amazon, Walmart, and Target platforms.
  • Preferred experience with AMS, AAP, Criteo, and Google Ads.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Retail Analytics and digital shelf reporting tools.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Ability to use paid media to enhance earned media campaigns and achieve business objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
