Customer Service Specialist
SUMMARY
The primary role of the Customer Service Specialist is to provide an exceptional shopping experience by fostering creativity among customers and ensuring that the store remains a welcoming environment. All team members contribute to sales growth through in-depth product knowledge, innovative displays, and precise transaction handling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ENGAGEMENT
Welcomes every customer and utilizes the F.A.S.T. service model to address their needs.
Asks insightful questions to understand customers' project requirements and guides them to the appropriate product locations.
Engages in pleasant discussions with customers regarding their projects while assisting them at various service points.
STOCKING
Efficiently stocks merchandise according to established plans while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.
Responsible for unloading and sorting freight as per company guidelines, ensuring that products are moved from the backroom to the sales floor as needed.
Maintains cleanliness and organization on the sales floor by tidying shelves, processing returns, and promptly addressing any spills or messes.
May assist customers with fabric cutting or handle transactions at the cash register.
SALES DRIVING
Encourages customer participation in store events and activities.
Proactively boosts sales through comprehensive product knowledge, effective selling techniques, and building strong customer relationships.
Works to minimize inventory loss by adhering to company policies and procedures.
TEAMWORK
Supports fellow team members in achieving and exceeding expectations set by management.
Collaborates with management and colleagues on various projects in a friendly and professional manner.
Assists in training new team members on customer service, stocking, and register operations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the store during shifts.
Requires the ability to read instructions and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Must be capable of lifting and moving merchandise, including climbing ladders and pushing carts.
AVAILABILITY
Part-time roles require flexible availability to meet store needs, with no guaranteed hours per week.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred experience: At least one year in a customer-focused environment.
