Overview:
This engaging position offers comprehensive support for both the Quality Control Laboratory and Production sectors, collaborating closely with the Senior QA Laboratory Engineer and Operational Quality Engineers at Waters Corporation.


The Laboratory Engineer III will conduct thorough investigations and analyses of diverse samples to support Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Research & Development, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, and Design Engineering.

This role entails analyzing molecular contamination to ensure compliance with critical cleanliness specifications, spearheading quality enhancements in equipment and processes, and facilitating the design and launch of new products.

The Laboratory Engineer III will also play a key role in the design and validation of analytical testing methodologies, executing analyses, and compiling comprehensive reports on findings.

Additionally, this position will provide direct quality assurance for a chemistry-focused manufacturing process, conducting root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and leading initiatives for process improvements.


Responsibilities:

Key Duties:
Conduct wet laboratory techniques

Perform untargeted LC-MS analyses

Execute LC-TUV analyses

Engage in experimental design

Participate in validation processes

Prepare detailed data reports

Contribute to the development of procedural documentation

Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization

Provide quality assurance for the production of chemical products

Investigate nonconformities, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions

Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing product and process quality in collaboration with Operations


Qualifications:


Education:


Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology), Engineering (Chemical, Materials, Environmental), or a related technical field with a focus on laboratory and analytical competencies.


Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience (Diagnostics devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology)

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with laboratory equipment

Proficient experience with mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, or comparable analytical techniques

Professional background in laboratory release testing, manufacturing, or production roles

Familiarity with process and/or software validation methodologies.

Exceptional report writing skills and meticulous attention to detail

Proficient in root cause analysis utilizing common RCA tools

Strong project management abilities, excellent organizational and time management skills, critical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to client satisfaction

Laboratory experience within a Quality Assurance/Control environment

Experience with Waters liquid chromatographs and mass spectrometers (UNIFI, Empower, MassLynx software)
