Quality Engineers at LMMFC play a vital role as integral members of the design and production teams. They are responsible for developing and evaluating quality standards, methodologies, work instructions, and procedures for inspecting both manufactured and procured products. To guarantee that our customers receive top-notch quality, our Quality Engineers create and review documentation related to both internal and external manufacturing processes, ensuring all requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing documentation pertaining to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure the delivery of quality products to clients.
  • Analyzing and addressing process issues ranging from simple to highly complex.
  • Leading program corrective action meetings, identifying trends, aiding in problem resolution, and ensuring that responsible parties fulfill their commitments.
  • Actively participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards, which includes managing non-conforming hardware, determining hardware containment needs, and identifying root causes and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conducting assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards.
  • Collaborating with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related matters.
  • Implementing lean initiatives to minimize waste and promote continuous improvement.
  • Making final decisions regarding product acceptability.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience with Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
  • Background in Discrete and/or Micro-electronics.
  • Familiarity with J-STD-001/IPC-A-610.
  • ASQ CQE certification.
