Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including sample and tissue inventory, and laboratory procedures.
  • Coordinate with research teams to design and implement efficient laboratory operations and update manuals of procedures.
  • Perform data entry, data analysis, and reporting, as well as prepare summary reports and presentations.
  • Conduct in-person or telephone interviews and arrange study lab procedures for research studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with laboratory and biosafety policies.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory data.
  • Provide functional supervision to assigned staff, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research laboratory or blood biobank/biorepository operations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high-level performance in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires occasional travel to nearby clinics and other local sites. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
