Culinary Operations Supervisor

At Omni Hotels, we pride ourselves on creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Our culinary team is at the heart of this mission, and we are seeking a passionate and innovative Sous Chef to enhance our kitchen operations.
Role Summary:
The Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring the seamless production of high-quality dishes for our dining establishments. This position requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and culinary expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
2. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including culinary professionals, servers, and support staff.
3. Oversee the overall management and coordination of restaurant operations.
4. Implement and uphold organizational policies and legal regulations in all supervisory duties.
5. Conduct interviews, hire, and train new employees; manage work assignments and performance evaluations; address employee concerns and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Significant prior experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable.
3. Strong organizational, leadership, culinary, communication, and motivational abilities are essential.
4. Proficiency in food and beverage control procedures within the hospitality sector.
5. A solid foundation in cost-effective kitchen management and regional culinary practices, including production and presentation techniques.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
7. Physical ability to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks, as well as the ability to taste and smell.
Certifications:
Servsafe Sanitation certification and ACF certification are preferred.
