Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Credit Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic vision. This position serves as a vital resource for financial and industry expertise within the department, working directly with clients to devise tailored financing solutions for intricate policies and competitive scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines that balance risk management with profitability.
  • Continuously assess market dynamics and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide approval rates, terms, and exposures on loan proposals.
  • Coordinate business processes with the inside sales team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Advise on rates, terms, and exposures for loans exceeding established quoting authority to streamline decision-making and optimize profitability.
  • Assist inside sales personnel with complex financial inquiries and technical questions.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions to enhance the sales process and decision-making.
  • Lead and nurture the credit team, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Evaluate departmental efficiencies and recommend improvements in close partnership with other divisions.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in a credit department within a financial institution or finance company.
  • Active Insurance License preferred or advanced knowledge of insurance policy language and terms.
  • A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or accounting is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for conferences and meetings.
  • Minimum of three days per week in the office.
