Commonwealth of Virginia - Lead IT Project Strategist

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a **Lead IT Project Strategist** to manage intricate IT infrastructure, integration, and technology systems initiatives. This role is essential in advancing technological capabilities within the organization. The Lead IT Project Strategist will be part of the Project Management Office, concentrating on overseeing high-priority IT projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent IT project management experience, particularly in managing complex technology projects and teams, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and certifications.
  • Proven expertise in planning and executing large-scale technology deployments using various project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
  • A collaborative IT professional who has successfully guided project teams through numerous enterprise-level technology initiatives and significant process or change management projects, achieving positive results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strong abilities in presentation and meeting facilitation.
This is a term-limited position with competitive benefits and the possibility of extension based on funding availability.

Anticipated salary range: $95,000 - $115,000

Benefits Include: A selection of 3 health plans, vision and dental coverage, life insurance, benefits savings accounts, starting with 22 days of paid time off annually plus 12 or more paid holidays, 8 weeks of paid parental leave, short-term disability, and up to $4,360 after the first year for tuition towards a degree-seeking program or up to $2,000 for professional development opportunities such as classes, certification training, and conferences.

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background check prior to starting employment in accordance with organizational policy.
