Position Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in technology to oversee initiatives within the Digital Technology Core. This role involves collaborating with development teams, stakeholders, and clients to create innovative mobile, web, and cloud-based solutions for various research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Engage with project stakeholders to gather and define project requirements, timelines, and budgets. Direct the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Coordinate cross-functional technical teams and manage available funding resources throughout project execution. Proactively identify and address risks during the project lifecycle. Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings and maintain effective communication. Actively participate in an agile project team delivering software and services to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and with remote colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices. Knowledge of open-source technologies and tools. Experience in an academic research setting. Technical expertise in web and mobile development tools.
Compensation:
Anticipated salary range is $100,000 - $120,000.

This position is term-limited for a duration of three years. The selected candidate will undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.

Physical Requirements:
This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers, along with occasional travel for meetings and programs.
