Position Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is on the lookout for an innovative and resourceful Social Media Marketing Strategist to enhance our digital outreach efforts. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing comprehensive social media initiatives aimed at strengthening our online visibility, fostering genuine connections with our community, and enhancing our reputation as a premier public service provider.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Social Media Marketing Strategist, your contributions will include:
  • Collaborating with the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Specialists to execute marketing communication campaigns that align with departmental objectives and the strategic vision set forth by leadership.
  • Formulating project management plans that encompass timelines and budget considerations.
  • Working cross-departmentally with various marketing teams and subject matter experts to create integrated marketing strategies and schedules that support defined business objectives.
  • Monitoring competitive marketing activities regularly, providing insights on messaging and strategy for team discussions to influence our marketing approach.
  • Gathering and analyzing data to inform strategy and creative briefs, utilizing business, brand, competitive, and market insights.
  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on all marketing materials for assigned service lines to ensure adherence to brand standards and communication goals.
  • Engaging directly with clinical stakeholders to support marketing initiatives.
  • Managing billing, invoices, and tracking marketing expenditures for assigned projects.
  • Overseeing the completion of various project initiatives from inception to conclusion under the guidance of the Marketing Manager or Senior Specialist.
  • Collaborating with team members to compile and report on Return on Investment (ROI) metrics and methodologies.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive compensation range.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: An Associate's degree with six years of relevant marketing experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in marketing, public relations, or advertising agency experience is required.
  • Licensure: No specific licensure is required.

Physical Requirements:
This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and events.
