As a Lead Project Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional editorial services. You will coordinate with a diverse team of editors and contribute to the refinement of educational materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage contracted editorial staff to meet scheduling and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop or enhance editorial resources, including style guides and editing protocols.
  • Act as the primary resource for consultants, dedicating approximately 3–5 hours per week throughout the project duration.
  • Maintain open communication with the Executive Editor, Project Manager, and other stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality editorial work.
  • Conduct secondary edits during the project phase, limited to 25% of the total project after the proof of concept or pilot.
  • Participate in all project meetings, lead project kickoff sessions, and assist with any necessary editorial setups.
  • Demonstrate a background in copy editing, developmental editing, substantive editing, or editorial project management within the educational publishing sector, development agencies, edtech companies, or academic institutions.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in formatting, organizing, and utilizing educational content terminology, particularly in the K-8 space. The minimum compensation for this role is set at $45 per hour.
