The Utility Supply and Construction Company is seeking a dedicated Project Operations Manager to enhance our dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and direct various projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with the highest safety and quality benchmarks. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with diverse teams, managing resources effectively, and ensuring alignment with all applicable regulations and company protocols. Utilizing your organizational and communication expertise, you will foster strong relationships with our field teams and clients, ensuring exceptional experiences throughout our operations.

  • Lead Project Execution: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and uphold all quality and safety standards.
  • Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of crews and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and training to team members.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and coordination between field operations and other entities within the company.
  • Resource Planning: Strategically plan and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Estimation: Demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend, and provide high-level estimates for project work.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect project activities to ensure compliance with the company's quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, material suppliers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project advancement.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of project progress, costs, and challenges. Prepare and present regular updates to senior management.
  • Financial Oversight: Exhibit financial acumen and collaborate with the Director to assess financial job health within the ERP platform.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify potential challenges and implement timely solutions to prevent project delays or budget overruns.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold a professional demeanor during client interactions, maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in transmission or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of line construction, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
