We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Superintendent to join our Petoskey team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading commercial construction projects in the field, planning, organizing, and managing daily operations on the job site.
Key Responsibilities:- Jobsite Supervision: Oversee all subcontractors and trades to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Project Scheduling: Develop, update, and implement project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Quality Assurance: Implement a quality assurance program to ensure high-quality workmanship and materials.
- Safety Assurance: Implement a safety assurance program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Project Management: Assist in project constructability and value engineering, expedite and monitor material and equipment approval, and oversee job closeout.
- Communication: Administer progress meetings and maintain open communication with project stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, preferred, and at least 5 years of commercial construction experience.
- Construction Background: Expert knowledge of construction means and methods.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidate must have superior organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and decision-making skills.
- Travel: The majority of our projects are within a 1-hour drive of Petoskey. No overnight travel will be required.
