Position Overview: Under supervision, this role oversees the daily operations of the facility, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards while maintaining productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Establish and communicate performance expectations and objectives; conduct evaluations of employee performance.
  • Recommend adjustments in salary, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Monitor operations and personnel, suggesting necessary changes in methods, procedures, structure, and staffing to optimize resource utilization.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures, ensuring staff understanding and compliance.
  • Supervise employee performance to guarantee safety and productivity, recommending improvements to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Analyze departmental productivity, report trends, and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure the entire facility complies with regulatory standards, including transfer stations and support services.
  • Promote continuous improvement in productivity and safety across all operational phases.
  • Collaborate proactively with peers to achieve business objectives.
  • Initiate actions to resolve identified hazards or unsafe practices promptly; provide training to production and maintenance staff as needed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and equipment, procuring as necessary.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics, or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant business and technical knowledge.
  • A minimum of five years of management experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, production, or logistics setting, with a focus on direct supervision of team members.
  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office.
