About the Role

firstPRO, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Implementation Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for executing operational tasks to implement IT changes at our operating companies, ensuring alignment with the customer's IT infrastructure and systems.

This role involves working closely with local, regional, and corporate teams to follow the customer's processes and strategies, as well as resolving any issues that arise during and after project implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage PC Deployments: Focus on networking and hardware support to ensure seamless IT implementation.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Apply expert technical skills to troubleshoot and support computer systems, hardware, and software across the customer's organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT associates and business partners to identify opportunities and adjust IT services, delivering consistent, professional customer service and communication with end users and IT colleagues.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects or assignments to improve systems and operations, offering technical guidance and leadership to analysts and IT associates.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to develop quotes, gain approvals, and facilitate ordering of equipment and services based on documented needs and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally, 2 years of desktop implementation support experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Windows OS, Office 365, PC rollouts, printers, and basic networking (routers, switches, wiring).
  • Travel: Up to 90% travel, depending on project needs.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Multi-tasking: Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, growing, nationwide organization.
  • Flexibility: Able to work across time zones and geographies.
  • Communication: Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Availability: Willingness to work occasional weekends or off-hours if necessary for critical issues.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
