Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our Endocrinology department, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients while facilitating patient flow and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and professional phone support to patients and customers, prioritizing and directing calls as needed.
  • Perform patient registration, scheduling, and financial clearance with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and coverage, ensuring proper billing and authorization.
  • Manage department inventory and supplies, maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment.
  • Process medical records requests and maintain patient charts, adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required, including answering phones, routing mail, and maintaining records.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience providing administrative support in a medical office setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • CPR certification (provided by the department).
Working Conditions

This is a per diem position, working variable shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
