Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Shift Manager to join our team. As a key member of our slot operations team, you'll be responsible for managing slot operations, monitoring services, and promoting exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage slot operations and monitor services affecting the department on assigned shift
  • Promote exceptional guest service and development
  • Counsel, guide, and coach team members in all aspects of the job
  • Administer evaluations, performance reviews, and merit compensation within established guidelines
  • Maintain work schedules for assigned team members
  • Ensure efficient staffing levels by managing hiring, promotions, demotions, and termination decisions
  • Ensure guest recognition and development are a primary focus for all team members
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest service and integrity in the slot department
  • Ensure all team members adhere to department policies, procedures, internal controls, and gaming regulations
  • Ensure all areas are staffed properly and manage team members throughout the slot floor
  • Witness jackpot payoffs and verify jackpot payouts at established levels
  • Inspire and motivate team members to perform to their highest potential
  • Manage turnover and budgeted goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proven leadership skills
  • Strong guest service skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with others, able to proactively interact with guests
  • Empower employees to use their creativity to retain and attract new guests
  • Ability to track departmental expenses, balance, and justify expenses at end of month
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Strategic and analytical
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces
