IT Support Specialist

ZGF Architects LLP is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our Technology Group in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our staff, ensuring seamless operation of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support for ZGF staff, encompassing all aspects of technology.
  • Resolve tickets and issues in a timely manner, escalating to the appropriate team when necessary.
  • Promote endpoint security through the application of ZGF standards and best practices.
  • Support the implementation of ZGF Technology initiatives.
  • Manage updates of applications, operating systems, and patches locally or via centralized systems like MECM.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain ZGF endpoints.
  • Perform leasing tasks.
  • Support the use of virtual desktop and application environments using systems like VMware Horizon or Microsoft Remote Desktop Session Host.
  • Orient new employees to the general Information Technology environment.
  • Respond to and resolve general hardware and software issues.
  • Perform user account creation.
  • Configure and deploy telephones.
  • Track and manage ZGF computer endpoints and accessories.
  • Troubleshoot general printer issues.
  • Create documentation as appropriate for ZGF programs and procedures, and maintain that documentation as necessary.
  • Provide tier two technology support for ZGF staff, encompassing all aspects of technology.
  • Provide escalation support for Desktop Support I.
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation.
  • Support and manage desktop support projects in the local office.
Requirements:
  • Strong Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Expert knowledge of M365 productivity applications.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Good work ethic, timely, team-player, honest, dependable, conscientious, respectful, and accountable; exhibit sound judgment and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous and ongoing tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Absolute honesty and trustworthiness; personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, person, chat, and email.
  • Ability to respond to support requests quickly.
  • Comfortable working in an environment characterized by frequent and continuous change.
  • Ability to respond to changes via adaptation and growth.
  • Understanding of common networking concepts.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy as it relates to PC management.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and WMI.
  • Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft MECM, Cloud licensing, Single Sign On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Windows Hello for Business.
  • Familiarity with virtualization concepts, including application virtualization and desktop virtualization (VDI).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and understanding of VOIP hardware and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing technologies.
  • Ability to use a corporate ticket system.
  • Ability to deal with issues in a variety of methods: in person, by phone, via email, instant message, or through our ticketing system.
  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor's degree desired.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification desired.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an equivalent role.
Workplace:
  • Work often requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention; work involves performing tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications.
  • Occasionally requires ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
