Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist role is designed to provide essential transaction, marketing, and business development assistance to commercial real estate professionals.

This position is responsible for implementing the corporate marketing strategy at a local level while offering valuable feedback to the corporate marketing team to enhance these strategies for better local execution.

As the primary liaison for operations, research, IT, and accounting, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless support.

The main objective of this position is to deliver exceptional transaction, marketing, and business development support, thereby strengthening the SRS brand.

The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to the success of SRS' leading retail real estate professionals and enhance the visibility of the SRS brand in the local market.

This role demands a proactive, customer-service-oriented mindset and presents a comprehensive marketing opportunity with avenues for expanding knowledge and experience across various marketing, business development, and commercial real estate aspects.

Support from the corporate marketing team includes access to top-tier marketing software, tools, and templates, along with ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all communications, presentations, and marketing materials align with the SRS brand and adhere to the established brand guidelines.
  • Develop print and digital marketing materials, including property listings, client presentations, and business development proposals.
  • Design and distribute email campaigns for property listings, client updates, newsletters, and other communications.
  • Manage and update property listings, client databases, and team member profiles on various platforms.
  • Maintain and segment contact databases and email distribution lists.
  • Assist remote research analysts with market mapping and demographic studies as needed.
  • Support brokers in managing transaction activities related to leases, acquisitions, and sales.
  • Utilize business management software to help brokers track their business development efforts.
  • Assist with marketing-related computer tasks, including email signatures and document styling.
  • Create and distribute press releases related to transactions to local media, analyzing results to strengthen media relationships.
  • Revise press releases for new hires and promotions for local distribution.
  • Collaborate with local team members to submit applications for industry awards.
  • Identify speaking opportunities to position the local team as industry leaders.
  • Assist in planning events for regional trade shows and corporate gatherings.
  • Support brokers in enhancing their professional presence on social media platforms.
  • Manage local office social media accounts, ensuring adherence to brand standards and increasing engagement.
Requirements:

  • Collaborative team player with a customer-service-oriented approach.
  • Experience in commercial real estate is essential.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong grammatical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; familiarity with business management software is preferred.
  • Experience in email marketing, public relations, social media management, database administration, and event coordination is advantageous.
