Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Operations Planning and Control operates under general administrative guidance and is accountable for the scheduling and execution of the company's outsourced production network. This role involves overseeing the planning and information flow for manufacturing operations at Contract Manufacturers (CM) and Re-pack Facilities, ensuring alignment with both short and long-term production goals to meet Patco Brands' sales demand, cost management, and budgetary constraints. The incumbent will foster a dynamic, healthy, and high-performance culture within the Patco supply chain organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate a cohesive production strategy based on insights from demand forecasting, procurement, and Contract Manufacturers to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Guarantee that all production data is accurately and promptly entered into the system.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Bill of Materials (BOM) configurations and associated production processes.
- Ensure that the flow of materials for production and finished goods adheres to lean management principles.
- Coordinate the transfer of raw materials to Contract Manufacturers to support production timelines.
- Create and maintain performance scorecards for Contract Manufacturers and engage with them on a monthly basis regarding performance and improvements.
- Ensure that production execution consistently meets or surpasses cost expectations.
- Oversee the reporting of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the primary liaison for:
- Production accruals versus actuals
- Maintaining accurate and compliant production records
- Ensuring data integrity in production
- Compliance with tolling fee accuracy
- Daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting requirements
- Develop and sustain a well-resourced team; conduct interviews, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and address disciplinary matters.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Natural Sciences, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution AND
- A minimum of four years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, or Procurement within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food, or Beverage environment, demonstrating progressive responsibility and professional aptitude OR
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND
- At least eight years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, or Procurement within a CPG, Food, or Beverage environment, showcasing progressive responsibility and professional aptitude.
- Ability to adapt to changes in production schedules and work various hours, including potential additional shifts, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies throughout Contract Manufacturer facilities, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively.
- Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Consistent punctuality and attendance, with a strong focus on managing time and resources effectively.
- Professional and respectful behavior towards all staff, vendors, partners, clients, and visitors.
