Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Installer in our Western region. This position is fully remote, with occasional overnight travel to client sites within a designated area. There may be instances requiring travel beyond the immediate geographic region.

The Telecommunications Installer (Level IV) will be responsible for circuit modifications, power transition operations, and the addition and removal of circuits on active power distribution sources. This role involves testing and activating power system equipment, supervising high-stakes work activities, and fulfilling Site Supervisor duties on job sites. Effective troubleshooting based on experience and sound judgment is essential for planning and achieving objectives, completing tasks, and resolving critical customer issues promptly.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work varied shifts, including swing shifts.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Capable of operating motorized lift equipment for the installation or removal of batteries.
  • Frequent pushing or pulling of cables weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Regular climbing of ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Extended periods of standing or working on ladders.
  • Continuous standing and frequent reaching at various levels.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, or stooping.
  • Regular crouching or squatting.
  • Exposure to diverse environments with moderate noise levels and temperature variations.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Previous field engineering experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant electrical degree, certification, or apprenticeship.
  • Experience with AC electrical systems.
