Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a Construction Materials Tester (CMT Field Technician 1) to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inspections in both field and plant settings during the production and application of asphalt concrete, portland cement concrete, and other construction materials such as oil binders, aggregates, cements, and admixtures.
  • Visiting material sources such as quarries and mine pits to oversee sampling, stockpiling, and testing of binders, cement admixtures, and related materials.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in materials testing.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with team members.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Capability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the inspection, sampling, and testing of materials for state transportation projects.
  • Proficient in compaction testing and certified in Nuclear Gauge Operator Training.
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification for Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 or equivalent certification.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $50 to $60, with final compensation determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
