Senior Acquisition Specialist

Position Overview:
As a seasoned acquisition management expert, you understand the critical importance of both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle in supporting client missions. We are seeking a dedicated professional to act as a liaison to government entities, bringing your enthusiasm to enhance pre- and post-award federal contracts and streamline processes that contribute to national defense.
Your Role:
In your capacity as a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will collaborate closely with our defense clients to support the warfighter, facilitating the acquisition and program management necessary for optimal operational effectiveness. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the defense acquisition and contract processes. You will engage with program leadership to evaluate contracts, manage project cost accounting, and develop tactical plans utilizing tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and MS Project, while maintaining regular communication with government clients and project subject matter experts across a diverse Department of Defense organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The essence of effective project management lies in communication, ensuring that programs meet their objectives and adhere to quality standards. On our team, you will:
- Draft comprehensive RFP packages, including Acquisition and Execution Strategies, requirements documentation, CDRLs, and Rights in Data, while identifying integration points across the broader client portfolio.
- Complete procurement request packages and ensure the secure storage and handling of sensitive documents.
- Provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates that impact project success.
- Foster and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and concurrence.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- 8+ years of experience with Department of Defense agencies or organizations.
- 7+ years of experience in PNT, GPS, sustainment logistics, and sustainment acquisition.
- Experience in government Strategy Development, Acquisitions, and Contracting.
- Proficiency in Program Management and Project Management.
- Knowledge of USAF and USSF financial processes, policies, and execution.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
- Ability to effectively support and communicate with senior government leaders, providing strategic recommendations.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Clearance Requirements:
Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Work Environment:
