Position Overview

The Electromechanical Assembly Specialist II will work under the guidance of the Director of Instrument and Cartridge Manufacturing. This role is integral to the assembly and construction of our advanced benchtop instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all aspects of manufacturing operations, including the assembly and testing of intricate mechanical and electromechanical components utilizing standard production tools such as torque drivers, calipers, and screwdrivers.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, demonstrating independence and efficiency to ensure high-quality product output in a regulated setting.
  • Complete necessary documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), including the review and approval of batch and systems records.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of a continuous improvement culture by leveraging existing methodologies and processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and manufacturing area to uphold GMP standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to interpret and adhere to detailed product and quality system documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as GMP, ISO, or FDA.
  • Requires an Associate's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with 4-6 years of applicable manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of complex modules and benchtop medical electromechanical instruments is essential.
  • Solid understanding of electrical wiring and soldering techniques on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
