Breast Imaging Specialist II

Full-Time, Day Shift

$30,000.00 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Candidates

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver healthcare services utilizing X-ray and/or ultrasound technology to aid in the detection or diagnosis of breast-related conditions.
  • Conduct breast imaging procedures, assist in biopsy operations, perform bone density assessments, and engage in computer processing and related methodologies, generating images for evaluation by licensed independent practitioners.
  • Exhibit professional judgment in the execution of services while upholding a demeanor that aligns with medical ethics.
  • Identify various patient conditions to provide suitable care, ensuring the successful completion of examinations or procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Possession of a current Post-Primary Registry in Mammography (M) or eligibility to obtain advanced registry within one year of employment.
  • Possession of a current Post-Primary Registry in Breast Sonography (BS) or eligibility to secure advanced registry within one year of employment or completion of departmental training.
  • Current licensure with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Advanced ARRT Registry required in Breast Sonography or eligibility to obtain advanced registry within one year of on-site training.
  • Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Prior experience in mammography is preferred.
