About the Role

The **Maintenance Equipment Specialist** will play a vital role in the core launch team for AESC's new facility. This position is crucial for enhancing brand value and achieving sustainable growth. Responsibilities include leading the Maintenance department's activities, overseeing the setup of the new facility, mentoring new team members, managing equipment buyoff, supporting standard operating procedures, and ensuring daily production support. The role also involves driving efficiency improvements, reducing waste, and managing equipment procurement while fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet and exceed key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in new equipment design and review processes with the global project team.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules pertinent to the maintenance team.
  • Participate in equipment buyoffs and support the installation of new machinery and processes.
  • Provide training and documentation for maintenance personnel regarding new and existing equipment.
  • Maintain and update documentation for systems in assigned areas, including electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings.
  • Address system issues and ensure continuous reliability and uptime improvements.
  • Collaborate with vendors to meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives.
  • Enhance the plant's preventive maintenance system, including the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and PM Optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards while proactively addressing safety concerns.
Qualifications
  • A four-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, NEC, OSHA, ISO14000, and IATF16949 standards.
  • Proficiency in computer programming languages, CMMS, and basic purchasing processes.
  • Experience in data analysis of equipment faults and failures, with a focus on root cause determination and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and program various systems as needed.
  • Working knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, robotics, and PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, bearings, and power transmission systems.
  • Capability to conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis and utilize the "5 Why" approach.
  • Ability to prepare presentations for data analysis and project updates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as CMRP and RMIC are beneficial.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and other technical applications.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic/Macro development as a plus.
  • Experience in cross-cultural environments is beneficial, given our global presence.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics of start-up environments is a plus.
