About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Trades Specialist to join our team at the South Carolina State Government. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform multi-skilled duties of moderate difficulty in general maintenance of building and equipment, preventative maintenance and general repairs on assigned campus.
  • Change and clean filters in air handling units.
  • Monitor and make adjustments to mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
