Jump On Languages is in search of a skilled Lead Educator for Spanish Language Programs. We prioritize an employee-focused culture, recognizing that educators play a crucial role in the development and education of children. Our diverse and enjoyable team promotes a collaborative atmosphere. As a member of our educational staff, we consider your availability and offer various programs where you can make a significant impact: Spanish afterschool initiatives (K-5), preschool Spanish instruction (ages 3-5), and personalized or small group tutoring sessions.

We are looking for an educator who is dedicated to creating a positive and meaningful influence on our students and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow professionally and contribute to the advancement of our programs. Our educators are enthusiastic about making language acquisition enjoyable through interactive activities, music, games, outdoor exploration, STEAM initiatives, and cultural engagement. The role of our educators is vital in ensuring that children experience a safe yet enjoyable environment while learning Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing curriculum materials that can be utilized by fellow educators.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities, games, songs, and lessons aligned with educational objectives.
  • Provide a nurturing, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere for children.
  • Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Engage with parents to address ongoing inquiries.
  • Prepare progress reports as needed for families.
  • Support the transportation of children from their schools to our program location.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Pass state and company background checks.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • WA State driver's license. A vehicle is not required, as one will be provided.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs
  • Completion of STARS ID, Childcare Basics, and/or School Age Basics courses is preferred
  • Food handler card is required. If not currently held, training will be provided upon hiring.
  • Bloodborne pathogens training is required. If not currently held, training will be provided upon hiring.

This position typically starts at an average of 25 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 35+ hours based on qualifications and interest. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and availability.
