Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving assigned sales goals for one or more properties. This individual will work closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement effective sales strategies, build strong relationships with clients, and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue growth and sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including existing and new business accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calling and prospecting
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, using this information to inform sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the hotel's operations, including rooms, food and beverage, and other departments
  • Participate in sales meetings and other functions as required by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous hotel sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients
  • Experience with professional selling skills, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, with strong organization and presentation skills
