This role is designed for skilled mechanics tasked with executing comprehensive troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on all electro-mechanical systems and various facility equipment. Additional responsibilities encompass training junior mechanics and providing general maintenance support for the building.

  • Schedule: 5pm-1:30am Tuesday-Saturday

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other tasks may be assigned. An individual in this position must possess the capability to:
  • Conduct scheduled and emergency maintenance repairs on all conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
  • Utilize PLC and web-based applications to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop approved system modifications and secure necessary resources for project completion.
  • Address other maintenance needs such as refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, dock doors, air systems, and racking.
  • Weld and fabricate as necessary.
  • Research parts, tools, and technology as required through all available sources.
  • Achieve proficiency in utilizing all aspects of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.
  • Provide supervision to the maintenance team when directed by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
An individual in this position must:
  • Hold a relevant technical degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Possess 5 years of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Have certifications in HVAC and welding, which are desirable.
  • Have 4+ years of experience in conveyor and automatic sortation maintenance.
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Have practical experience with 480V/3 phase industrial equipment and controls.
  • Have working knowledge of PLC and computerized control systems, equipment, and functions.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Possess basic computer skills with experience in maintenance databases such as MP2, DataStream 7i, and Maintenance Connection.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • The work environment includes all areas of a Distribution Center.
