The Service Advisor is a critical role within the Cirrus Design Corporation's Service Center, responsible for ensuring seamless communication between customers and the facility's operations. This position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and customer service expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Coordination: Evaluate demand and capacity to coordinate the facility's schedule, meeting customer expectations and operational objectives.
- Work Package Development: Create detailed work packages, including labor and required parts, based on the type of service performed.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary contact for customer communication regarding scheduling, maintenance, and service events.
- Parts and Supplies Management: Coordinate with the parts department to pre-order required parts and service bulletin kits.
- Cost Estimation and Invoicing: Develop and provide cost estimates and invoices, including upselling optional services.
- Reference System Maintenance: Develop and maintain a reference system to provide retrievable information on labor hours, parts costs, and other relevant data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on revisions to inspection requirements, changes in parts prices, warranty status, and other regulatory updates.
- Customer Analysis and Scheduling: Conduct thorough analyses of customer aircraft maintenance history, additional requests, and service bulletins to provide detailed schedule options.
- Document Preparation: Prepare necessary documents for customer debriefing and present them to service center management.
- Schedule Planning: Prepare a weekly maintenance schedule for distribution to all Service Center functions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Attend daily and weekly meetings with crew chiefs and supervisors to discuss pre-arranged services, parts availability, and other factors influencing customer due-out schedules.
- Special Projects Coordination: Coordinate and plan special projects, such as modifications and engineering issues.
- Quality Inspection Requirements: Stay current on quality inspection requirements that may affect work scope maintenance events or the service center's ability to work on scheduled aircraft.
- Financial Management: Verify that work requested falls within the customer's financial credit limit and provide alternate options if necessary.
- Support and Coordination: Support coordination and planning of scheduled aircraft maintenance visits.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or Aviation Maintenance Technologies, or equivalent experience in aviation maintenance, scheduling, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, inspection programs, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated strong customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple objectives, meet deadlines, and balance multiple projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver clear, concise communications.
- Project Management: Project Management Professional certification preferred.
- License: Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
