We are a dynamic restaurant in Washington, DC seeking a highly motivated and organized Sous Chef to join our team. Our menu is crafted by award-winning chefs Enrique Limardo and Mile Montezuma.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef/Chef in developing new menus, supervising the kitchen, and working with the team to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation and execution of menu items
  • Collaborate with the Chef team to plan and create menus
  • Anticipate inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment
  • Control costs and optimize resource allocation
  • Develop and execute catering events
  • Implement new culinary initiatives with the marketing and culinary teams
  • Produce high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or chef
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, safety protocols, and best practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: experience with catering and event planning
  • Expected salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
