Key Responsibilities:
CUSTOMER INTERACTION
  • Actively engage with customers to establish rapport.
Inquire about customer preferences and attentively listen to their requirements.
Guide customers to relevant products while informing them about promotions, events, and loyalty programs.
Deliver exceptional customer service.
Foster positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships, taking responsibility for your actions and results.
STORE MAINTENANCE
  • Ensure the store is well-presented and organized.
SALES
  • Cross-sell products and maintain knowledge of store layout.
Offer tailored suggestions based on current trends and customer needs.
Encourage customers to consider additional products.

Stay informed about product features and trends, utilizing company resources to confidently share product knowledge.

Utilize a Point-of-Sale system for transactions, including cash handling, exchanges, and processing various payment methods.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory processes.
Participate in regular inventory checks as needed.
RELIABILITY
  • Adhere to your scheduled shifts.
Consistently follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary. This position is represented by the American Federation of Government Employees Local 22.
Qualifications/Product Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of retail products and merchandise.
EXPERIENCE
Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory. Communication Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting instructional documents, including safety guidelines and operational procedures.
Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
Demonstrate proper telephone etiquette. Mathematical Skills:
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while being attentive to customer needs and adaptable to business requirements.
Work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role involves frequent movement, communication, and standing for extended periods. It may also require occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in certain departments.
Work is primarily indoors, with some outdoor assignments possible. Other Skills: Energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic with a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Work Hours: Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. No prior experience is necessary; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
