CUSTOMER INTERACTION

Encourage customers to consider complementary products.

Stay informed about product features and trends, utilizing company resources to confidently share product knowledge.

Utilize a Point-of-Sale system for transactions, including cash handling, exchanges, and discounts.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory processes.
Participate in regular inventory checks.
RELIABILITY
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours.
Ensure thorough completion of assigned tasks.
Other responsibilities as assigned. This position is represented by the American Federation of Government Employees Local 22.
QUALIFICATIONS/PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
  • Basic understanding of retail products and services.
EXPERIENCE
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to read, write, and interpret various instructional documents.
Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
Professional telephone communication skills are required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining attentive to customer needs.
Work collaboratively within a team and take initiative independently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role involves frequent movement, communication, and standing for extended periods.
Occasional tasks may require bending, kneeling, or climbing.
Vision requirements include close vision and depth perception.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. may be necessary in certain areas.
Work is primarily indoors, with potential outdoor assignments based on operational needs.

OTHER SKILLS: A positive, friendly, and energetic attitude with a strong desire to provide excellent service. WORK HOURS: Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. No prior experience is required, although a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
