Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a CNC Service Specialist. This role involves the installation of advanced machinery, customer training, warranty repairs, and ongoing service support for CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. The CNC Service Specialist will operate from their home base and will have regional responsibilities, primarily focusing on customer facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel.
  • Perform machine installations, including assembly, calibration, alignment, and wiring.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues at customer locations.
  • Conduct operational tests on machines post-installation or repair.
  • Provide training to customers on machine functionalities.
  • Stay updated on new machine features and accessories.
  • Document all installations, assessments, repairs, and parts used.
  • Travel as required, including overnight stays at various customer sites.
  • Utilize various testing equipment for troubleshooting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 2-year technical program in electronics, mechanical engineering, or machine tool assembly.
  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a field service role.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively to complete tasks.
  • Understanding of PLC and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
