Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Specialist, Behavioral Health to join our team at AltaPointe Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and adolescents with severe emotional or behavioral disturbances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and documentation of consumer progress, ensuring timely and accurate completion of clinical records.
  • Engage consumers in planned activities, promoting their safety, well-being, and participation in treatment.
  • Assist consumers with personal care, medical appointments, and daily living skills, as needed.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Lead program groups and activities, promoting consumer engagement and participation in treatment.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to AltaPointe Health's policies and procedures.
  • Respond to crisis situations, utilizing proper interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • Document all interactions, incidents, and consumer progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline or Social Work preferred.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders, growth and development, and principles of play therapy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with treatment team members, consumers, and families.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
