We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at Infirmary Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive sports medicine information and services to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sports medicine information and education to the community, focusing on injury prevention and wellness.
- Attend sporting events to support and promote Infirmary Health physicians, services, and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement sports medicine programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to prevent injuries.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Science, or related field.
- Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) through Board of Certification (BOC) by National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
- Licensed by the State of Alabama.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Athletic/Sports Administration.
