Job Description

The Proposal Coordinator role at SLSCO is a dynamic position that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate and develop division-specific proposals for local, state, and federal pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily opportunity searches to identify potential proposals.
  • Track proposal efforts from identification through award to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Develop proposal overviews and coordinate go/no go decision-making with leadership to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and distribute proposal outlines and compliance matrices to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop, distribute, and consolidate proposal-related data calls to gather necessary information.
  • Utilize existing content library and leverage subject matter experts to develop proposal content from start to finish, including writing, editing, production, assembly, and submission.
  • Ensure proposal material is consistent with solicitation requirements and meets company standards.
  • Proofread and edit proposal content for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension, and style.
  • Coordinate color reviews of proposals and consolidate input to ensure a high-quality final product.
  • Attend semi-weekly stand-up meetings to discuss status, schedule, and action items with the team.
  • Manage division-specific pipelines to ensure timely and effective delivery of proposals.
  • Update and maintain the project library to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Order necessary proposal materials and documents, such as bid bonds and reference letters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of directly related experience developing high-quality, high-scoring proposals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail, including proofreading, grammar, and document formatting.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Tools a plus, particularly Adobe InDesign.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint sites desired.
  • APMP Foundations certification a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 40 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
