Overview
The IT Business Relationship Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the IT department aligns effectively with various business units, serving as a central point of contact.

This position is tasked with enhancing IT's comprehension of the technological needs of the business, thereby establishing IT as a reliable strategic ally.

The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will act as a supporter and representative for business units within the IT framework.

This encompasses managing the intake of project requests, conducting regular prioritization sessions, and facilitating the escalation of unresolved service requests while guiding stakeholders through enterprise processes.

The BRM will collaborate with teams in Enterprise Architecture, IT Governance, Portfolio Management, Project Management, Business Process Management, and Change Management to ensure that business requirements, including forward-thinking strategic initiatives, are balanced and prioritized for optimal return on investment.

As a senior technology expert, this role is pivotal in ensuring that IT investments align with and enhance our strategic objectives and operational models.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Prioritization:
Develop a profound understanding of business customer needs, identifying opportunities and making recommendations on leveraging technology to meet business objectives. Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize technology investments and provide insights to IT leadership.

Technology Innovation Intake:
Assist both Business and IT leaders in developing and supporting new business capabilities through technological solutions that yield a return on investment. Define business objectives through comprehensive business cases, analyze current workflows related to these objectives, identify areas for process improvement, research viable technology solutions, and document cost justifications or ROI.

Business and IT Alignment:
Work with business units to align their goals with the planning and implementation of new technologies. Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop business cases, solutions, and approvals necessary for technology implementation.

Communications and Relationship Building:
Engage in significant interactions at senior management levels, effectively communicating complex technical information across all organizational levels. Build strong relationships with stakeholders both within and outside of IT.

Technology Leadership:
Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of business technology by engaging with industry peers, vendors, and consultants. Utilize this knowledge to enhance technology plans.

Advising, Coaching, and Mentoring:
Serve as a key technical resource and advisor for the business, providing meaningful technical solutions to complex issues. Mentor associates to enhance their technical versatility and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, HR, Engineering, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology, with a focus on the design, development, and implementation of new technologies or maintenance of large-scale systems across various platforms.

Physical Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed.
